New Laptops ready for Sanma Outreaching Computer training programs Today 1st of August 2021, Ituani has its new laptops being dedicated and ready to be used on its outreaching computer programs within Sanma Province. Thanks to God the Creator who made this possible for Ituani.

Satellite Internet connection access on Ituani Centre – Malekula Another milestone for Ituani centre on Malekula to have its vsat internet connection successfully setup today on 7th July 2021. The purpose of this internet access is to allow people in the surrounding areas including churches, schools, health centers and communities learn how to use internet securely. The head mistress of Genar School Mss. Vivian Manwo came forward to acknowledge that great achievement which will be benefiting teachers and students to use it as a tool of educational development. Before dedicating the Vsat equipment, Pastor Oliver Nale said that God allows everything available but its the choice of men to use them according to their purposes that will help them advance in life. The program was ended by a demonstration of the internet and presentation of Ituani’s mission to outreach the ICT services to the rural communities

The First ICT Centre Open in Torba Province to offer ICT services and Training This year 2021 on March 2nd, the First ICT Centre opens for public in Sola Vanuatu. Ituani Centre has been launched to provide ICT services and Computer Trainings to the Citizens and visitors of Sola and surrounding communities in Vanualava in Torba Province. Ituani is now present in the three provinces of Vanuatu to outreach its ICT services Programs to the remote and rural communities who have lacked the knowledge, experience and skills of ICT services.

The second smartsistas participant coming from outside of Port Vila Today 31st of August 2020, Ituani is happy to add to its news the second smartsistas participant for this year 2020 coming from outside Port Vila. Alphine Matahu is year 5 student of Kamewa who is one of the Ituani Kids Club members was successfully completing the one week SmartSistas Camp in Port Vila from 24th – 28th August 2020. Ituani would like to thank the SmartSistas organizers and stakeholders who continue to promote the girls in ICT. Ituani also encourages all the girls who live outside Port Vila to apply for this program in future.

Ituani was the winner of Credit Corp/APTC Grant of 2020 John Ken Matahu, an alumnus of APTC-delivered International Skills Training, is the sole owner of Ituani Centre and the successful winner of a small grant scheme worth 500,000vt, generously sponsored by the Credit Corporation in Vanuatu! Ituani, meaning ‘service provider’, aims to provide much-needed ICT skills in rural communities and currently has two sub-centres in Malekula and Malo. The official handing over of the grant was made last week with assurance from John to use the grant appropriately to strengthen his existing business and broaden its important services to Vanuatu’s 4 other provinces. Johnny Wilson, Credit Corporation’s Managing Director for Vanuatu, congratulated John for a well-deserving award and reiterated Credit Corporation’s commitment in funding futures for ni-Vanuatu entrepreneurs. APTC’s Country Director for Vanuatu and Nauru, Anna Naupa, also took the opportunity to encourage current students present at the handing over ceremony to continue to put their skills to good use upon graduation, consider setting up a business, and continue to active alumni members of the Vanuatu Alumni Chapter.

Two trainers of Ituani were graduated by APTC Ituani was one of the PSET providers’ trainers who have attended a ITSC training back in 2018 through the collaborated assistance of the Vanuatu Skills Partnership with APTC. On 2019, the two trainers of IVSC have been graduated.

The First Smartsistas participant coming from from Sanma Province In 2019, one of the first girl at the age of 11, was representing all the other kids participating on Ituani’s kids club activity in another higher activity called smartsistas. This is a privilege and great opportunity to participate on this great ICT event.

Ituani is registered as a PSET provider to deliver computer courses “A Milestone for Ituani Vocational Skills Centre.” Ituani is successfully registered as the first Rural Training Centre to deliver computer courses. This achievement will be benefiting all the citizens living in Vanuatu rural areas who wish to pursue ICT pathway.

Ituani Centre on Malekula Launching Ituani Centre has been expanded to Atchin main Land in North East Malekula, Malampa Province. On 8 December 2017 it was launched and started to offering all the ICT services including secretarial services and computer workshop. Ituani is working towards its expansion to other four remaining provinces.
